DOTA 2 Crystal Maiden Guide

Here is my DOTA 2 Crystal Maiden Guide, a guide to the best support champion in DOTA 2. Over the course of the guide we’ll look at abilities such as Crystal Nova and Freezing Field, as well as our DOTA 2 Crystal Maiden Guide Item Build.

DOTA 2 Crystal Maiden Guide Pros and Cons

As with any hero there are pros and cons to playing them, this is relevant when choosing any character when you’re playing any game obviously. For the Crystal Maid she is a fantastic support champion, this is kind of a pro and con depending on your thoughts of support champions, they are very useful and necessary in high ranked games, and with that she definitely excels in being one of the top supports.

However, playing a support can be very boring sometimes which is why some people skip them all together. She brings great mana regeneration to the whole team, serves as a great ganker due to her disable and slow abilities, and she can really help sustain an ally in lane.

Some cons include the fact that she is one of the slowest heroes in DOTA 2, also as you’ll find with most supports she’s incredibly squishy making it a lot harder to play her efficiently, and another thing you’ll notice is if you mess up early it is VERY hard to recover, making her one of the more difficult heroes to play and master, but also one of the most rewarding.

DOTA 2 Crystal Maiden Item Build

Alright, you’ve got a couple different options as to how you want to purchase your first set of items, you can either pick up the Animal Courier or the Ward, the choice is yours, but either way you’ll also want to pick up: Three Iron Branches, a Tango, a Healing Salve, and a Clarity.

Next you’ll want to start building towards a pair of Power Treads, followed by a Magic Wand, followed by a Drum of Endurance, and finally a Blink Dagger, you’ll want these items by the mid-game phase.

Now heading into end-game you’ll want to finish your build off with these items if time allows: Mekansm, followed by an Aghanim’s Scepter, and then a pair of Phase Boots. Now, you’re going to also want to purchase some more observer wards along the way, this can be done on your own discretion.

There’s a couple items you may want to consider depending on your current situation as in your allied heroes and your opposing team’s heroes as well as how the game has gone so far. Ghost Scepter, Blade Mail, Black King Bar, and Hood of Defiance are all very good Crystal Maiden items if purchased under the proper circumstances, so be weary on this.

DOTA 2 Crystal Maiden Guide Abilities

Crystal Nova: A wave of damaging frost slows enemy movement and attack rate. This slow lasts for up to 5 seconds at max level, this is a nice ability to have for ganking and also saving allied heroes from ganks as well.

Frostbite: Encases an enemy in ice, prohibiting movement and attack, while dealing damage per second. Again, another great ganking ability and of course can also be used to save allies. You should do your best to chain this with Crystal Nova and not just use them one after another so you get the full effect of both.

Arcane Aura: Gives additional mana regeneration to all friendly units on the map .5 to 1 to 1.5 to 2 with each level. This is why Crystal Maiden is such a great support hero, this alone gives your whole team a major advantage. It is really great to have Crystal Maiden especially when you have a heavy mana using team, so keep that in mind.

Freezing Field: Channeled – Surrounds Crystal Maiden with random icy explosions that slow enemies. Lasts 4 seconds. This can be a little tough trying to make it do what you want it to do, but a good ult for teamfighting so you can throw in some extra damage for your team.

DOTA 2 Crystal Maiden Guide Playstyle

You’re going to want to pick up your Q first, followed by your W, followed by your E, and then max out your E after that with Q being 2nd priority and of course W. You don’t even want to level your ult until all your other abilities have reached their max level simply because your ult isn’t that great, it’s just going to be a luxury end-game.

Remember to be placing wards occasionally throughout the game as well as doing a bit of roaming to help score some ganks for your carries, using your Q and W after catching someone kind of out in the open on a 2v1 almost always guarantees a kill. You don’t need to worry about your E as it’s completely passive and your ult you can kind of just use whenever a big team fight is starting, really it’s just your Q and W you’ll be concerned about.

DOTA 2 Lyralei Guide

Hi there, this is going to be our DOTA 2 Lyralei Guide, she’s a really cool hero with a lot of sweet abilities and other aspects. We’ll go in-depth with her today, so get ready.

DOTA 2 Lyralei Guide Pros and Cons
Lyralei is able to play multiple roles throughout the game which is nice for situations where you need to counter a specific hero who is having a particularly nice game. This is also a nice thing because it allows you to easily master Lyralei because you can play her almost regardless of the rest of your teams composition.
She can be quite mana dependent which will run you into a bit of trouble, also she is pretty squishy unless you’re playing a more tanky build.
DOTA 2 Lyralei Guide Item Build
For your first starting item purchases you’re going to want to pick up the right items in order to have a good start, I recommend these: a Ring of Protection, three Iron Branches, a Healing Salve, and a Tango.
Next you’re going to want to begin working towards three core items: a Ring of Basilius, Phase Boots, and a Magic Wand. Now you’re going to have a choice of what you want to purchase next, as I said Lyralei has the capability of playing multiple roles, therefore you’re going to want to choose the items that best suit the role you’ve chosen to play.
Scythe of Vyse, Mekansm, Force Staff, Helm of the Dominator, and Observer Ward are all great items for Lyralei under the given circumstances, so you’ll need to decide based on what you want to build towards as well as your allied team and the enemy heroes.
DOTA 2 Lyralei Guide Abilities
Shackleshot: Shackles the target to an enemy unit or tree in a line directly behind it. If no unit or tree is present, the stun duration is reduced.
Powershot: Charges bow for up to 1 second for a single powerful shot. The arrow deals damage and destroys trees in its path. Damage is greatest on first target, and reduces by 10% for each target it pierces thereafter.
Windrun: Increases movement speed and adds evasion from all physical attacks, while slowing movement of nearby enemies.
Focus Fire: Windrunner channels the wind, gaining maximum attack speed on the target, although with reduced damage. Once Windrunner switches targets, the speed is lost.
DOTA 2 Lyralei Guide Playstyle
Early game you’re going to want to focus a lot on your creep kills and try to build up those core items as quickly as possible, this will allow you to focus more on ganks and whatnot sooner. Do your best to farm as well as hassle your opponent here and there, also, denying is always a great tactic to do. Do your best not to push early on, Lyralei isn’t a great pusher until mid-game so try to refrain.
Once you’ve moved into the mid-game phase and you’ve got your core items built its time to start roaming around ganking and pushing lanes, make sure you’re careful so you don’t find yourself caught in a situation where you’re going to be ganked. Hopefully you can pull off a couple kills and knock down a couple towers relatively quick.
Make sure you’re utilizing your ultimate against towers to nuke them down quick, Windrun gives you the ability to escape almost any situation, Powershot is going to be your main team fight ability to pick up some kills. And lets not forget about Shackleshot, it is a great disable ability and you should make sure to use it.

DOTA 2 Huskar Guide

Hello and welcome to our DOTA 2 Huskar Guide, he’s a really cool and unique hero. We’re going to take a look at abilities like Inner Vitality and go into many more aspects of the hero, so let’s begin.

DOTA 2 Huskar Guide Pros and Cons

All DOTA heroes have their own specific pros and cons, as you’d find when choosing a specific class in any game. For Huskar, he is really fun and pretty easy to play, once very nice thing about playing him is that he’s not mana dependent which is very nice to not have to worry about. He also has very nice hassle abilities, and serves as a very nice late game tank while maintaining high damage.

For cons he doesn’t have many but they are pretty significant factors to his playstyle, for one he doesn’t have much crowd control. Another thing is despite the fact he doesn’t need mana, he will be draining his own health which can make things a bit more challenging, at least you know the resource is there until you die. Also using his ultimate can put you in some tough spots, which causes you to need to be a little more hesitant when using it.

DOTA 2 Huskar Guide Item Build

In order to get the most out of your beginning you’ll want to purchase this set of items: Tango, a Healing Salve, two Gauntlets of Strength, and two Iron Branches.

Next up you’re going to start wanting to build towards these items as quickly as you can: Magic Wand, two Bracers, and Power Treads.

Finally you’re going to want to build towards these next items, you won’t need to rush them or even complete this build but if the game goes long enough you’ll be able to and in turn should: Two Hearts of Tarraque, and a Black King Bar.

Also there are quite a few items that will work well for Huskar depending on the situation, you’ll want to look at your enemies heroes as well as your allied heroes and how the game has progressed in order to figure what items you should get given the situation. Aghanim’s Scepter, Assault Cuirass, Desolator, Gem of True Sight, Pipe of Insight, Vanguard, and Satanic are all great Huskar items but only when purchased under the right circumstances.

DOTA 2 Huskar Guide Abilities

Inner Vitality: Magically unlocks the potential regenerative power within a target unit, healing its life force based upon its primary attribute. If the target is below 40% it will heal faster.
Burning Spear: Using his own life force to set them aflame, the Sacred Warrior can cause his spears to deal stackable damage over time as they impact the foe.
Berserker’s Blood: Huskar feels each of his wounds and channels the pain, increasing attack speed and damage for each 7% missing health. First bonus starts at full health
Life Break: Huskar reaches into the well of his own life force to heavily damage an enemy. Huskar is magic immune while charging towards the target. The target takes damage equal to 50% of its hp. Slows target by 50% for 5 seconds. Huskar pays a certain percentage of his hp to cast this.

DOTA 2 Huskar Guide Playstyle

You’re going to want to alternate between leveling your W ability and your E ability (and taking your ult when available) before even leveling your Q once. Also, make sure you take your W as your first ability.

Inner Vitality is a great sustain ability, it’s the only ability you have that uses mana but it really isn’t something that you are going to use a whole lot since you won’t even be leveling it until later. You’ll want to use Burning Spear for early game hassle, as well as your main damage ability late-game.

Berserker’s Blood is one of the main things you’ll need to worry about while playing Huskar, since this is a passive ability that makes your stronger the lower health you’re at, you’ll need to consider going out of your way to take more damage in order to deal more damage.

Using your ultimate is equally as planning-relevant as your passive, since it deals a ridiculous amount of damage you’re definitely going to want to put it to use as often as possible, but keep in mind it does take a lot of your health. The best situations to use this is are when you’re in a spot where you can pull off a quick 2v1 kill, even so if it’s 1v1 using this still gives you a major upper hand.

DOTA 2 Anti-Mage Guide

Here is my DOTA 2 Anti Mage Guide. This guide will cover all of his main abilities, as well as my DOTA 2 Anti Mage Item Build and his pros and cons and much more!

DOTA 2 Anti Mage Guide Pros and Cons

All heroes in DOTA 2 excel in certain pros as well as fall short in certain cons, Anti Mage does well as a hard carry who is able to escape some of the most sticky situations, he is exceptionally hard to counter end-game, and is able to counter against many different opponents.

However, while playing Anti Mage you’ll notice some cons such as it’s very hard to gank, also, he is by no means a support champion which isn’t exactly a con but doesn’t leave much room for variety in skills.

DOTA 2 Anti Mage Guide Item Build

You’ll want to start out with these items for the most efficient beginning: Stout Shield, Tango, Healing Salve, and three Iron Branches.

You’ll want to pick up a few items relatively quick in the game, after you’ve got these 5 items which are pretty inexpensive farming doesn’t stay quick as important but you’ll still want to build towards some other items. Ring of Health, followed by Boots of Speed, followed by a Vanguard, followed by a Belt of Strength, and finally Power Treads.

The only mid game item you’ll want to be working on is a Manta Style which will take a bit, but it’s all you’ll need for a while. Now heading into end-game you’ll want to have/start working on these items: Butterfly, a Heart of Tarrasque, and a Black King Bar.

There are a few optional items you may want to consider as well given the situation such as your allied heroes and the enemy heroes. Wraith Band, Quelling Blade, Magic Stick, Magic Wand, and Vladmir’s Offering are all great Anti Mage items under the right circumstances.

DOTA 2 Anti Mage Guide Abilities

Mana Break: Burns an opponent’s mana on each attack, mana break deals 60% of the mana burned as damage to the target. You’ll want to max this ability first, however, you’re going to want to pick up your W as your first ability and your E second before even leveling this once. It will be your main hassle ability early game and is really annoying to enemy heroes that are reliant on mana.

Blink: Here you’ve got a great escape skill, it Teleports the Anti Mage a distance based on level away. This ability is really good for not only escaping a gank or an enemy about to kill you but also for chasing down opponents who are about to escape.

Spell Shield: Increases Anti Mage’s resistance to magic damage by 26 to 34 to 42 to 50% based on the level. This is pretty self explanatory, this should be maxed last but picked up earlier on as your second skill point used. The reason is you’re getting 26% for leveling it once, but after that it’s only 8% for each following level.

Mana Void: For each point of mana missing by the target unit, damage is dealt to it and surrounding enemies. Here’s where things get interesting for the Anti Mage, you know that Mana Break lowers enemies mana, and you know your ult deals more damage for how low the opponents mana is. Therefore, you’ve got to make a choice if you want to get some more Mana Breaks in before ulting an opponent or just using the ult once they’ve lost a smaller amount.

DOTA 2 Anti Mage Guide Strategy

I’ll carry over about from the previous section because a lot of what you’ll need to strategize around is balancing your Q and your ult, of course there’s always the scenario where the opponent has made it easy for you and used all their mana already, in that case ult away!

My suggestion is to kind of just go with the flow, keep slapping away at your opponent until you feel that your ult will deal enough damage to kill them, stopping short and ulting too early will give them some to realize oh wow i’m almost dead I’m going to use my escape ability to get out of here. The trick is to ult right around the point where it will deal enough damage to kill them.

If you wait too long they’re going to either kill you because you’ve taken too long or they’re going to leave the fight because they’re too low already. It takes a lot of getting used to how much the ult effects certain heroes throughout the game, but practice makes perfect.

DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide

Welcome to our DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide, he’s one of the most badass looking heroes in DOTA. We’ll talk about his main abilities such as Shadowraze and Requiem of Souls, as well get into an Item Build and much more.

DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide Pros and Cons

An obvious pro while playing the Shadow Fiend hero is that you look completely badass, I just have to say that in my opinion this is the coolest looking hero in DOTA 2. As for actual in-game pros, he is one of the top farmers in the game, also works as a strong mid lane hero, on top of that he has some high damage nuke abilities which makes him a great ganker. Oh, and he is not very item dependent, always a nice bonus.

For cons he is pretty squishy, and also has relatively low attack damage. He is very reliant on souls for attack damage and his ultimate. Also he requires a lot of practice and getting used to in order to be really effective with him.

DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide Item Build

For good starter items playing as Shadow Fiend you’ll want to pick up two Tangos, two Slippers of Agility, a Clarity, and an Iron Branch.
The first items you will want to start trying to build are Boots of Speed, followed by a Bottle. Next, you’ll want a Blink Dagger, followed by a Black King Bar, and then a Power Treads, you should have these items built before the game gets into the team fight phase.
Now, you’ll want to start working on your late game items which really depend a whole lot on where your team is at and where the enemy team is at. You’ll want to look at what their heroes are and your allied heroes to determine which items you need for the given situation, I can’t really list all the possible scenarios, but it is easy to figure out.
All of these are great Shadow Fiend items for end-game: Assault Cuirass, Butterfly, Daedalus, Desolator, Linken’s Sphere, Heart of Tarrasque, Eye of Skadi, Monkey King Bar, and a Sange And Yasha. Now you’ll really have to pick based on what you need for the given situation.
DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide Abilities

Shadowraze: Shadow Fiend razes the area in front of him and dealing damage in that area. This is a pretty unique ability because you have three different options as to how you want to use it, each with a greater range, and all three options have their own cooldowns so you’re able to deal a TON of damage if you’re willing to cough up the mana.

The problem is that it isn’t exactly the most efficient use of mana as far as damage goes so using 3 times ends up using a ton of mana and really doesn’t deal an unbelievable amount of damage (although it is still very high) You will be maxing this skill first.
Necromastery: Causes Shadow Fiend to gain 2 bonus damage for each soul he steals, however, when you die you will release one half of them. You’ll want to pick this skill up first, and max it second. Other than that there isn’t a whole lot more to say, it’s pretty straight forward.
Presence of the Dark Lord: Shadow Fiend’s presence reduces the armor of nearby enemies. Another really straight-forward ability, you’ll want to level this only when you have nothing else to level. Not because it is a bad ability, but because your other abilities are a lot more useful.
Requiem of Souls: Causes captured souls to be released to deal massive damage and also slow nearby enemies. Requiem of Souls creates one wave of damage for every 2 souls stored by Necromastery. The closest foes are hit the hardest. The damage dealt by this attack is equal to the number of souls stored with Necromastery, this is a really cool ability but takes a bit of getting used to and you really need to understand how it works in order to utilize it fully.

Basically, you’ll want to save up souls with Necromastery before unleashing this attack, it will unleash a maximum of 15 waves of lines dealing damage, and it deals more damage the closer enemies are.

DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide Strategy

Main thing to work on while playing Shadow Fiend is that ultimate, you want to practice this a lot until you’ve got it mastered and you aren’t just blowing it when you don’t need to. Other than that, 2 of his other 3 abilities are just passives you don’t need to really worry about, just don’t die and lose Necromastery stacks.

Your shadowraze can be used to harass as well as farm, so use it for these things. Just try to harass your lane opponent and pick up some mild farming along the way, also do your best to deny if they are an item dependent hero.

Devastate opponents in team fights by unleashing a high amount of souls with your ultimate and also fire some Shadowrazes in and you’ll deal some very high AoE damage, that’s the key to playing Shadow Fiend.

DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide Conclusion

Follow this DOTA 2 Shadow Fiend Guide and you’ll be dominating on the battlefield, good luck.

DOTA 2 Sniper Guide

It’s time for the DOTA 2 Sniper Guide, he’s a long-range beast of a hero and one of the easier and more powerful ones at that. So let’s take a closer look

DOTA 2 Sniper Guide Pros and Cons

Sniper is a very easy to play hero and also a dominate long range damage dealer. First we are going to cover his pros and cons, he is a great farmer due to his long range firing capability, this also makes him a fantastic lane pusher, he is one of the most feared late game carries in DOTA 2.

For cons, he is a very squishy hero, which makes him highly susceptible to ganks, also he moves quite slowly, another reason why he’s easy to gank. He needs a lot of farm, so falling behind on this is very tough to recover from, plus the fact he’s so strong late-game if farmed and fed makes you a high priority gank for the other team.

DOTA 2 Sniper Guide Item Build

To start out the game effectively as Sniper, you’ll want to purchase a Tango, a Magic Stick, as well as two Iron Branches.

Throughout the course of the game you’ll want to farm up enough to purchase these four items as fast as you can: Power Treads, followed by a Magic Wand, followed by a Manta Style, and then finally a Shadow Blade.

Once you’ve got the Shadow Blade you can relax on the farming and focus a bit more on ganks and team fights, but you’ll still want to be working on these few items as a side-task to get stronger and stronger for the final minutes of the game:

Sange And Yasha, Desolator, Maelstrom, Urn of Shadow, and an Assault Cuirrass are great Sniper items. You won’t need all of them, so it’s best to look at your allied heroes and enemy team to choose which ones serve your current situation best.

DOTA 2 Sniper Guide Abilities

Shrapnel: You’ll be wanting to max this Q ability first, it will shoot a shrapnel that showers the target area in explosive pellets, enemies in this area will have slowed movement and receive damage for each second they stand in it. It has a 1200 range and a 325 area radius and lasts for 8 seconds.

Headshot: Fires a shot to the targeted enemies head, does a mini stun so it works as good interrupt, also deals damage bonus. It is pretty much Sniper’s weakest ability so max this one last.

Take Aim: You’ll want to take this E ability second, it increases the range of your attacks by 65 to 130 to 195 all the way up to 260, allowing you to shoot towers without even being in their range. Also this gives you all the room in the world to harass enemy heroes.

Assassinate: Sniper’s Ultimate locks onto an enemy target in a 1500 to 2000 to 2500 range based on level and will fire and hit them no matter how far they run for a high amount of damage. This is similar to Caitlyn from League of Legends ultimate, except it cannot be blocked by allied heroes.

DOTA 2 Sniper Guide Strategy

Alright, you’ll want to be working on that farm early on and throughout most of the game, this is really easy when you have an ability like Take Aim being leveled. Use shrapnel to clear out waves of creeps as well as dropping it on enemy heroes because in most cases they’ll attempt to run out of it away from you and this gives you a prime opportunity to land at least 2 auto attacks on them, depending on who the hero is this can really screw up their lane phase and force them to go back.

If you manage to get someone down to roughly 300 hp you can potentially pick up a really easy kill early on if they aren’t expecting your Assassinate to deal as much damage as it does, this works mostly against newer players but still is something you’ll see happen a lot to unexpected heroes trying to stay in lane longer than they should.

In team fights you’ll want to put shrapnel on as many enemies as you can and then do your best to just nuke everyone down with auto attacks while remaining at your massive range distance so you can’t be focused down without them having to run through your whole team.

DOTA 2 Sniper Guide Conclusion

Follow this DOTA 2 Sniper Guide and you’ll be dominating on the battlefield, good luck.

DOTA 2 Pudge Guide

This is our DOTA 2 Pudge Guide, Pudge is one of the coolest and diverse heroes in DOTA. We’ll go in-depth with his abilities like Meat Hook and much more, now let us begin.

DOTA 2 Pudge Guide Pros and Cons

Obviously all heroes in DOTA 2 have some pros and some cons, for Pudge I feel that the pros will outweigh the cons, but you can be the judge of that:

Pudge is an amazing gank hero, attributed partially by his slow and disable abilities. Also, he has 3 very high damage abilities which makes him a good solo champion even as melee. One of my favorite aspects of Pudge is that he is not very item dependent at all so even if you mess up farming early game, you’ll still do fine.

For cons the main thing as far as Pudge goes is that he is slow, also, he has a pretty annoying mana problem but this can be dealt with by focusing on mana with items since he isn’t item dependent for other things. Despite the fact he is not item dependent, he is quite level dependent, so you’ll want to stay in lane leveling as much as possible and you’ll want that solo lane.

DOTA 2 Pudge Guide Item Build

To start things off as Pudge you’ll want to pick up the following items: Iron Branch x2, Clarity x2, a Tango, and a Magic Stick.

Your first priority items will be Boots of Speed, Ring of Health, and a Cloak. As I said Pudge isn’t really item dependent so you don’t really have a whole lot more to build towards after you’ve picked these items up.

Once you’re getting into mid-game all you’ll really need to work on is Hood of Defiance, and then late-game you’ll want to work on an Aghanim’s Scepter. After picking up the Scepter you really are set for playing Pudge, but if the game is still going on for a while after getting this you’ll want to pick up these items:

Heart of Tarrasque, followed by Shiva’s Guard, and finally a Radiance. However, you should note that depending on enemy teams or allied heroes you’ll want to consider these situational items as well: Black King Bar, Vanguard, Veil of Discord, and Force Staff are all good Pudge items if purchased under the right pretenses.

DOTA 2 Pudge Guide Skills

Hook: Pudge’s Q is what really sets him apart from other heroes, it will throw a hook at a targeted location and pull back any enemy or ally and bring them to Pudge dealing damage. If you’ve played LoL, this is essentially Blitzcrank’s Rocket Grab with the perk of being able to save allies with it. The trick to landing this is studying your opponents moves, see their movement pattern and try leading them with the Hook, landing this pre-team fight on a squishy hero will easily kill them.

Rot: His W will damage any enemy heros or creeps in an area around him when activated as well as slow them by 20%. A trick with this is that it will also damage yourself, so you can use it to deny an enemy by committing suicide. Another tip: use this immediately after landing a Hook to unleash some high damage and really mess up an enemy.

Flesh Heap: Your E is a passive which will grant bonus magic resistance that increases with each level. Also, whenever a hero dies within a 450 radius of Pudge he will gain a permanent 1.8 strength boost for each death.

Dismember: Pudge’s ultimate will disable a targeted enemy and deal 175 damage every second it is active.

DOTA 2 Pudge Guide Strategy

Pudge is really tough to master, the #1 thing you will want to work on is landing those Hook pulls, if you can really master that then you are going to be successful, it is as simple as that. A good combo to try is landing a Hook, following it up by a Rot, and finally a Dismember.

Using that combo will unleash a devastating amount of damage to any target 1v1 and if you’re starting a team fight it will almost guarantee a kill if you’re able to land all of it with teammates also helping you fight them.

Remember you don’t need to farm a ton, but all the farming you do will just help you become more and more effective, but don’t go out of your way and put yourself in bad situations just to pick up some creep kills, instead, do your best to deny enemy heroes.

DOTA 2 Pudge Guide Conclusion

Follow this DOTA 2 Pudge Guide and you’ll be dominating on the battlefield, good luck.

DOTA 2 Mirana Guide

Here we have a DOTA 2 Mirana Guide, a very well-known DOTA hero. We’re going to talk about her key abilities like Starstorm and Moonlight Shadow, and talk about the DOTA 2 Mirana Guide Pros and Cons, now we’ll move into that.

DOTA 2 Mirana Guide Pros and Cons

As with any hero there are several pros and cons involved with playing them, for Mirana, the pros involve a potential 5 second stun, an easy solo lane hero, also has 2 good escape moves. Potentially a roaming hero, also is great team fight starter and a great farmer.

As for the cons we run into one main problem throughout a game with Mirana, and that is mana management, she is extremely mana dependent and runs out very quickly unless you have a lot of good items which now makes her item dependent. You are always very squishy and pretty much useless if your abilities are on cooldown.

DOTA 2 Mirana Guide Item Build

Starting off the game you’ll want to purchase these items for a good advantage when starting: Iron Branch x3, Slippers of Agility, Tango, and Magic Stick.

Your early game purchases should look something along the lines of this: Bottle, followed by Magic Wand, followed by Boots of Speed, followed by a Wraith Band, and then a Town Portal Scroll.

After you’ve obtained all those items you should be nearing the mid-game phase and you will want to begin working towards these items: Yasha, followed by a Linken’s Sphere, and then a Boots of Travel.

Now that you have all of the above, it’s time to begin purchasing your final items of the game, you may not even be able to purchase all of these but in longer games you will be able to finish them all: Eye of Skadi, followed by a Butterfly, and finally a Manta Style.

You also may want to consider picking up a Diffusal Blade, a Mjollnir, and or a Desolator as these are all more situational items that benefit Mirana but only in certain situations depending on enemy teams and your allied heroes.

DOTA 2 Mirana Guide Skills

Starstorm: You will want to max this ability first before any others, this is a very high damage nuke ability that damages all surrounding enemies. It has a high mana cost which is one reason why Mirana has so mana problems with mana, since this is her main damage ability.

Arrow: Next we have Arrow, which requires careful placement to be as useful as it can be. This is not a lock-on spell, so it requires you to aim it at the target, it is important you try to lead the target instead of firing it right where they already stand because they will most likely move out of it.

Try to use this ability at the very start of a team fight or a gank and focus it on the main target, this ability also will stun targets if they are far enough away for up to 5 seconds.

Leap: Mirana’s E spell is a good escape ability, with a name like Leap you can only imagine what the ability allows you to do. Also, it will obviously work well for chasing enemies down. This ability also grants a 16% movement speed and attack speed buff for you and your allies at level four.

Moonlight Shadow: Her Ultimate ability is pretty unique, it will grant you and all of your friendly heroes stealth for 11 seconds. It requires a 3 second fade time to fall into invisibility but still works awesome for beginning a team fight and completely throwing the enemy team off guard, as well as escaping a gank.

DOTA 2 Mirana Guide Strategy

Playing Mirana comes down to making sure you can land those Arrow stuns and learning when the right time to activate your ult is. Other than that the main thing you are going to want to focus on is farming, you are going to be useless if you don’t farm enough minions to get your key mid-game items as fast as possible.

If you are able to farm enough to where you aren’t having major mana problems you will have no trouble blasting people away with Starstorm one after another for some easy kills and assists.

Also, make sure you don’t forget about your Leap ability, it can be a tad underrated because people forget about the 16% attack and movespeed buff granted after activating it, you’ll want to utilize that possibly by using Leap to start a teamfight.

DOTA 2 Mirana Guide Conclusion

Follow this DOTA 2 Mirana Guide and you’ll be dominating on the battlefield, good luck.

DOTA 2 Beginners Guide

Weclome to our DOTA 2 Beginners Guide, here we will cover the Basics as well as some of the best heroes for beginners, also items and runes and their place in DOTA, and some other key tips.

DOTA 2 Beginners Guide – What is DOTA?

DOTA 1  was a custom map for Warcraft III, and it stands for Defense of the Ancients. Essentially DOTA 2 is a very small game, but at the same time a very huge and in-depth game full of intense fights and is a place where team strategy is vital to winning.

DOTA 2 Beginners Guide – The Basics of DOTA

The goal of this game is simple, destroy your enemies base. Doing that however, is a lot more complicated. The map in DOTA 2 is split into 3 paths which are referred to as lanes, inbetween these three lanes is shadowed areas which is referred to as the jungle.

Lanes serve as the primary route for the enemies base, however, these aren’t just straight shots into the base. In these lanes you’ll find several towers which need to be destroyed before getting to the base, also, there are tons of small monsters referred to as creeps which will spawn throughout the game. These can be killed for gold which is used to purchase items.

Farming creeps is crucial to winning the game as you need items in order to win, often times most of the start of the game is spent farming these creeps in order to start your item build, which we’ll get into more later.

DOTA 2 Beginners Guide – Items

Consumables: These items will not directly effect your hero until they are used, at which point they will be removed from your inventory and then put a temporary buff on your hero. Some will restore health, some buff damage, and some will give you stealth detection.

Attributes: Items that improve core stats such as Strength, Intelligence, or Agility will be in this category. Unlike consumables, these items will remain in your inventory until sold OR can build into better items, the choice is yours, most of the time it is best to buy items that eventually build into better items you’ll want in the late game instead of constantly buying and selling.

Armaments: This category contains items that effect non-core stats such as attack, attack speed, and armor. Again these items work like the Attribute items where they will remain in your inventory until sold or built into a better item.

Arcane: Arcane items are a bit different, they don’t really effect a specific area of your champion, but offer a variety of various effects such as increase movement speed, stealth detection, or dodge chance. These items will remain in your inventory until sold or built into a better item.

DOTA 2 Beginners Guides – Heroes

Choosing a hero is the most important choice you’ll make each game, the hero you pick will be the one you play for the duration of the match. It is important you match up with your teammates so you are all picking a team that will work well together, you’ll generally want a tank, 1 or 2 magic damage dealers, 1 or 2 melee damage dealers, and a support hero.

Each hero has different core stats as well as 4 different abilities, therefore there is a lot to look into when making this decision, also this is one reason why DOTA 2 is such a huge game because of the massive hero selection list and how each hero is different so it takes a long time to master them all.

Here we have a list of the best heroes for beginners, they are the most simple ones to pick up and learn.

Skeleton King: He is often referred to as one of the easiest champions in DOTA 2, but he still works as a great hero because he’s got a fantastic stun as well as three passive abilities which means there isn’t a whole lot to learn while playing him.

Lion: Here we have a support hero who can also deal out some moderate damage as while as crowd control. One great aspect of Lion is his ability to AoE stun, fantastic for team fights. His ultimate is also devastating as it deals a very high amount of damage.

Sniper: This hero is very easy to carry with, given his name you probably figured out he has very long range attacks, and his basic attack can even shoot a tower without the tower being able to shoot back. He’s very squishy, but makes up for that with the range.

Zeus: Now we’ll look at this nuke champion, he’s great for destroying a squishy opponent, also his ultimate allows you to damage all players on the map no matter where they are.

Crystal Maiden: Another support hero, one reason people love having Crystal Maiden on their team is the mana regeneration aura she bring s for the entire team, therefore she makes things easier on everybody.

Sven: Probably the easiest hero in DOTA 2, all you really need to do while playing this hero is land your stun and ult your enemy to nuke them down.

DOTA 2 Beginners Guide – Runes

These Runes are placed in the top and bottom of the river. They will give you an effect for your hero that will last for a limited amount of time. There are five different runes:

Double Damage: This rune will grant your hero increased AoE damage by 100% for 45 seconds. (Blue Rune)

Invisibility: This rune will grant your hero invisibility for 45 seconds, if you use any items or abilities it will break invisibility. Keep in mind there is a 2 second time while you are fading to invisible as you pick it up where you can still activate abilities. (Pink Rune)

Haste: This rune increases movement speed by 100%, however this will last for 30 seconds, not 45 like the previous 2. (Red Rune)
Illusion: This run will spawn 2 illusions of your hero, they deal 1/3 of the damage your hero deals and receive 3x as much damage, they will last for 75 seconds. (Yellow Rune)
Regeneration: This rune will give you a buff restoring 3k health and 2k mana over 30 seconds. Be mindful that if you take any damage during this time the buff will end, also, if your health and mana reach their maximum amount it will end.
DOTA 2 Beginners Guide – Key Tips for Newbies
If you’ve never played DOTA before or any MOBA game for that matter, this is the most important section of the entire guide, so pay attention!
- Communicate, make sure you’re talking to your teammates to let them know if someone has left your lane for an extended amount of time, this usually means that a gank is coming to the next lane over, and warning teammates will prevent this.
- Don’t over extend your lane, this means don’t keep getting right up at the enemy tower, this leaves you wide open for a gank and if you aren’t prepared you’ll die easily.
- Place wards in the river next to your lane, this will grant sight of the shadowed area you place it in to prevent ganks from happening if a teammate is unable to let you know their lane opponent is missing.
- Purchase a Dust of Appearance or a Gem of True Sight if you are playing against stealth opponents, these are crucial to shut them down early.
- Don’t be afraid to let others know you are new, DOTA 2 is a friendly community and teammates are more than willing to help give you some pointers.
- Make sure you are farming the minions and denying enemy kills, you can deny enemy creep kills by killing your own creeps as they will only get gold from scoring the last hit.
- If you’ve already died a couple times and its early, try to play as safe as you possibly can, there is nothing worse than feeding the enemy with kill after kill, this will make the game a lot less fun for everyone else.
If you can follow most of those tips, especially the warding and stealth detection items tips other players will be amazed if you’re a new player and doing this. Also, it will greatly increase your chances of winning the game.

DOTA 2 Beginners Guide – Wrap Up

Be sure to study the information here and if you’re able to incorporate it all into your gameplay you’ll be dominating in no time.

DOTA 2 Yurnero Guide

Welcome to our DOTA 2 Yurnero Guide, one of the most powerful and popular champions in the game. This guide will cover key abilities such as Blade Fury and Omnislash, as well as our DOTA 2 Yurnero Guide Item Build, so let’s begin.

DOTA 2 Yurnero Guide Pros and Cons

Yurnero is a very fast champion, and can easily dominate a duo lane if partnered with someone who has a stun on a low cooldown. Very good at scoring first blood, and is a great late game carry.

There are a couple cons for playing Yurnero, he has low mana, and this becomes very relevant when trying to use your ult with a blade fury as this drains almost all your mana. Also, he lacks any real crowd control, but makes up for this in damage.

DOTA 2 Yurnero Guide Item Build

You will begin your build with 2 Tangos, a Healing Salve, an Iron Branch, and a Stout Shield. Your next purchases will be 2 Slippers of Agility, and Power Treads. Once you have obtained all of these begin working towards a Battle Fury, as well as a Helm of the Dominator, and a Sange And Yasha.

Eventually you will want to build a Butterfly, and finally either an Aghanim’s Scepter or a Satanic depending on the enemy team. There are a few situational items you’ll want to consider as well, the Phase Boots, as well as a Vladmir’s Offering, a Black King Bar, and a Desolator are all great items for Yurnero if purchased in the proper situation.

Your final build should look something like this:

Poor Man’s Shield – Power Treads – Battle Fury – Sange and Yasha – Butterfly – Aghanim’s Scepter – Satanic – Phase Boots

DOTA 2 Yurnero Guide Skills

Blade Fury: Here we have a Bladestorm ability, similar to that of Garen in League of Legends or the Warrior in WoW. If you’re unfamiliar with these terms, it means that you’ll spin around and destroy everything in your path. Early game this is a fantastic damage ability and gets stronger as the game goes on.

Healing Ward: This will summon a Healing Ward to heal all nearby allied units. Perfect for fighting Roshan or possibly when your team is trying to take down a tower. And of course whenever there’s a team fight this will always give your team that edge.

Blade Dance: Give you a chance to deal double damage on each attack. When combined with Battle Fury this will devastate all the enemies near you. But this is a pretty straight-forward ability.

Omnislash: Causes you to slash enemies while moving around, during this time you are invulnerable and this ability has a 450 range. You’ll want to be utilizing this as much as possible as every second it is on cooldown its a big waste. It’s great for taking out creeps as well as enemy heroes.

DOTA 2 Yurnero Guide Strategy

The perfect lane partner for Yurnero is Shadow Shaman, simply because the Shadow Shaman can shackle an opponent and you can go in to wreck them with Balde Fury. This works well with any lane partner who has a stun/snare/slow, but Shadow Shaman is ideal.

Make sure you are using that Blade Fury in defensive situations as well! The best defense is a good offense when we’re talking about Yurnero, if you are being closed in on for a gank pop Blade Fury and try to make your way out while spinning. Using Blade Fury will cause magic attacks to not even be able to target you, that is why it’s so important you know when to use it.

Other than Blade Fury you don’t have a whole lot more to worry about, Healing Ward should be used while fighting Roshan or getting into a team fight, and Omnislash should also be used when starting a team fight or taking out a large creep wave or just for harrassment.
